Let me tell you a story. A story about a young boy. He was joyful and carefree, as all boys his age should be. Now what was this boy’s name you ask? That is not important at this time. Now this boy had a family. A father strong, a mother beautiful, and a sister whose smile to him lite up the dark of space like a hundred stars. His parents were explorers, traversing the unknown regions of the galaxy not yet documented by any. And wanting there children to experience all these amazing new discoveries they brought them along. And his sister, she was most important to him. They were twins you see, they laughed together, they ate together, and they play together. Nothing, besides his parents, was more important to him then his sister. To the young boy this was life, and it was all he ever knew or needed.
And then came the worst day in the young boys life. Him and his sister were awoken by a large bang. Running to see had happened they entered there ships main hall only to find three men they had never seen before holding blasters, as two figures laid upon the floor slowly bleeding. Almost immediately both the sibling realized who the two on the floor were, their parents. Then, just as the sister was about to let out a scream in terror and the young boy, grabbing his sister hand, tried to run, they were both snatched up by two of the men. They both kicked and screamed, yelling out for their parents and for each other, but to no avail. They were brought aboard the ship of the strange men, where more men were waiting. They threw them each in different cells, then after a few more hours they took off leaving the exploration vessel and its crew, one man and one women for dead.
The young boy was not sure for how long he and his sister were on that ship. All the while his sister was in tears, he just as much as she probably did realized that their parents were dead and that they’d never see them again. But he knew he need to protect her, so he had to be strong, despite his own tears. Finally the hum of the engines ceased and shortly afterward a few men entered the cargo hold. They opened up the boy’s cell, but left the sister in her cell. Confused, the boy looked at the men and then back at his sister, tears welling in her eyes. One of the men grabbed and picked him up, the boy began to scream, calling out to his sister and she began doing the same, but he was unable to break free. The last memory he would ever have of his sister is her tear drawn face calling out to him.
What came next would forever haunt the young boy. After being taken away from his sister, the boy was carried out of the ship into a landing port and out into the open air. The world he had been brought to was green, that’s what remembered most, the plant, the ground, even the sky it was all green, and it smelled terrible. He was then dragged into a building that seemed like some kind of bar or cantina, lead through a back door, and then brought into the center of a large room. And before him the young boy saw a large strange creature conversing with one of the men that had been on the ship when him and sister were abducted. The boy remembered what these creatures were called, his had told him about them, the were called, “Hutts”. After the man and the Hutt finished talking he handed something over to the Hutt and in turn the Hutt handed something to him. Then the man motioned over to the others to bring the boy over. The Hutt spoke to the boy, but could he could not understand him, he turned to the men and asked what he said, the man speaking to him before knelled down and said only one thing to the boy. “You belong to him now.”
The boy would never see those men again. In the years that followed, the young boy became not so young. He was made into a slave. He learned the name of his master, “Gorda the Hutt”, and he was made to learn his language, as well as many other things. Gorda was cruel, he wanted to make all that was his, absolutely his. He would force his slaves to forget there names and take on names he choose to demoralize them, as well as make them forget there pasts so the would have nothing to look back to. He did this through means of pain and torture. The boy, resilient as he was, eventually gave in. His name was taken from him, just like everything else in his life. But he still had hope that someday, someone would come rescue him and would be free to search and find out what happened to his sister. And so hopeful he waited. Another day. Another week. Another month. Another year. And so, and so, and so again. Till the word ‘hope’ burned to even think. He eventually came to realize it was all a lie, hope, there was no hope. All he could do was survive.
Many years had passed since the boy had been taken to the planet he had learned was called “Nal Hutta”. He had learned the Hutt language, as well as that of the Twi’lek of which were enslave among him. He had learn of many things listening among those who would visit his master, like current galactic treaties and relations. But, probably the most important thing he learned in his many years of slavery was how to sneak around. He had learned that the less noticeable you were, the less likely you were to incur the masters wrath. So he learned to hide, then he learned to creep, and then he learned to sneak. Eventually, he became so good at sneaking that it sometimes seemed like he’d go unseen even in plain sight. He did not know how this was possible, but he was not concerned, if it meant no one would find him from time to time he did not care. But soon this gift of his would give him a chance at something he had long since given up on, ‘hope’.
The day came that would change everything. The boy, now a man, awoke and began his usual routine. Catering to guests of his master, and feeding and tending to the pens of Gorda’s many exotic pets. It was around when midday when he arrived, he wore robes of black and walked through the crowds with no pause as if he knew where he was going. The boy found the one in black robes was soon talking to Gorda. What was odd was that every once in awhile the robed man would look back at the boy. Eventually, Gorda motioned for the boy to approach him. Gorda told him that the man in black robes was going to taking him with him off world. The boy thought it was all a joke, until the shock collar he had been wearing for years was removed. The man in the black robes moved close to the boy, he could now see his face clearly he bared unique tattoos, but most notable was his deep red eyes. The robed man then asked the boy, “How would you like to be free and have power like you’ve never known before?” And he answered, " More then anything."
Now who was this boy you’re probably asking? Me. I was that boy. I’ve had everything I ever cared about taken from me. But, now I have control of my life, the one thing they couldn’t take from me. Now I have a chance. I will become strong. I will become powerful. I will become victorious. I will be free. My name is Rotworm. And I will be Sith!
